HELLO! I'M DIYA
HELLO! I'M DIYA
Design, to me, is not just about usability; it’s about what lingers after an interaction. As a student of Kathak, an Indian classical dance form rooted in storytelling (Katha, meaning “story”), I have been honing the art of storytelling since childhood. This deep connection to narrative informs my approach as an Experience Designer. I believe design should not just guide users but hold space for them; for their emotions, their presence; creating moments that feel deeply human.
My journey began at N.M.I.M.S School of Design, where designing for real-world problems equipped me with a broad technical toolkit and a problem-solving mindset; the ability to break down complexity and craft intuitive, human-centric solutions.
In my professional practice at Axis Bank, India, leading initiatives and working across cross-functional teams strengthened my leadership and interpersonal skills. It taught me how to harmonise user needs with business goals while ensuring that experience remains at the heart of every decision.
Now, as I pursue my Master’s in User Experience Design at the University of the Arts London, I’ve learned to breathe life into experiences through qualitative research; to listen, observe, and uncover the stories that shape this world. The best design is not just built; it is felt.
At the core of my practice is a desire to restore the innate humanness to every interaction; to weave experiences with the invisible threads of human connection.
